Dr. William Swift (known as Wild Willy) is a fictional doctor from the medical drama ER.
History[]
Dr. Swift temporary stepped in for David Morgenstern as Chief of Emergency Medicine in the first season. He and Dr. Mark Greene initially do not get along with each other as Mark is trying to cope with the death of a pregnant patient.
Dr. Swift has Mark present the case at the next Mortality & Morbidity, which ultimately helps Mark through his guilt.
He later appears in the fourth season episode Think Warm Thoughts as a Synergix attending physician.
Swift then appears in an uncredited cameo for Dr. Greene’s funeral in the eighth season episode On the Beach.
