Jesse Robbins is a character on the NBC network series, ER. He was the nephew of Dr. Peter Benton and the youngest son of Jackie Robbins.
History[]
In the 7th season, Jesse is brought to County General ER with a head injury after getting into a fight at school. Jackie tells Peter that Jesse's behavior has changed since he started dating a girl that she describes as "pretty rough" and he even shoved his father at one point. She asks Peter to have a talk with Jesse.
Peter gives Jesse the safe-sex talk even though Jesse tells him that he's not sexually active. Jesse explains that he is upset that his parents don't respect him, but Peter tells him that he wants his parents to respect him, he needs to show them respect as well.
In The Visit, Jesse is brought into the emergency room again with a gunshot wound. When Cleo Finch realizes that Jesse is in the hospital, she tells Peter about it and Peter takes over Jesse's treatment.
Despite his efforts, Jesse's injuries are too severe and he dies. When Peter leaves the trauma room to tell Jackie, she is devastated and breaks down crying. When Dave Malucci tells Peter that he thought Jesse was a gang-banger, Peter punches him which causes them to fight until the other doctors break it up.
In The Dance We Do, Jesse's girlfriend, Kynesha winds up in the ER after being assaulted by gang members. She explains to Peter that Jesse wasn't a member of her gang; he was trying to get Kynesha out of it and was killed by the other members to stop him from doing so.
