  • Mark Greene is born in San Diego, California to David and Ruth Greene. (He may also have been born 1964.)

  • Jerry Markovic is born on September 24th to Mrs. Markovic and an unnamed father.
1969

  • John Carter is born on June 4th to John "Jack" Carter, Jr and Eleanor Carter.
  • Tony Gates may have been born this year to Mike Gates and an unnamed mother. (He may also have been born 1971).
1974
  • Lucy Knight is born to Barbara Knight and an unnamed father.
1977
  • Neela Rasgotra is born on April 17th to an unnamed mother and an unnamed father.

  • John Carter becomes a medical student.

  • John Carter joins County ER as a third-year medical student.
  • Carol Hathaway attempts suicide.

  • (Off-screen) Abby Lockhart becomes a medical student.
1998
1999
  • Luka Kovač, Cleo Finch, and Dave Malucci join County as a moonlighting attending physician, a pediatrics physician, and a second-year resident respectfully.
  • After goading a patient's husband into punching him in an attempt to prove the husband was an abuser, Luka Kovač is fired by Kerry Weaver.
  • Gabriel Lawrence joins County ER as the Senior Attending Physician.
  • Gabe Lawrence leaves County due to his worsening Alzheimers.
  • Luka Kovač is rehired as a permanent attending physician following Gabe Lawrence's departure.
  • Lucy Knight and John Carter are stabbed by Paul Sobriki. Despite everyone's best efforts, Lucy dies.
  • Carol Hathaway gives birth to twins, Tess and Kate Ross.
  • Carol Hathaway leaves the ER to reunite with Doug Ross in Seattle.
  • Abby Lockhart notices John Carter injecting himself with a patient's medication. Following an intervention, Carter enrolls in a rehabilitation program.

  • Jing-Mei Chen gives birth to her son. She gives him to his adoptive parents.
