Blaire Collins was a woman who suddenly woke up from a six-year coma while under the care of Dr. Luka Kovač.
History[]
Blaire was brought into the ER in the 12th season episode, Blame It On The Rain from her nursing home. She was comatose from a car accident that killed her mother. She later emerged from a coma with no memory of what happened to her.
In Wake Up, it is revealed that Blaire and her mother were the victims of a carjacking. Her mother was raped and killed, but Blaire was pistol-whipped when she fought back which left her in a coma.
She is also placed on an experimental drug cocktail that helped her with the affects from the coma. Although Luka is told not to tell Blaire about what happened to her mother, she later starts having flashbacks of the incident. Suddenly, she stops talking and begins falling back into her coma.
Luka tries to save her, but despite his efforts, Blaire doesn't regain consciousness. Kerry Weaver later tells Luka that the state would admit Blaire to the hospital for two days and if there wasn't any change in her condition, she would return to the nursing home. Towards the end of the episode, Luka tells a comatose Blaire what happened to her and her mother.
